CausewayRadar (causewayradar.com) is owned and operated by ETOS Systems, an independent traffic-information site covering the Woodlands Causeway and Tuas Second Link border crossings between Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any government agency in Singapore or Malaysia.
CausewayRadar does not require an account, and we do not operate any sign-up, login, or contact form that collects personal information directly from you. The site does not knowingly store your name, email address, or other personal identifiers on our own servers.
Like virtually all websites, our hosting infrastructure (Netlify) automatically logs standard technical data for every request -- such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps -- for security and operational purposes. We don't access this data for profiling or marketing.
Your display theme preference (day/night mode) is saved locally in your browser's
localStorage. This never leaves your device and isn't accessible to us.
CausewayRadar uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technologies (such as device identifiers) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This may include personalized advertising unless you've opted out or your region requires consent-based advertising.
If you're located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you'll see a consent prompt on your first visit allowing you to accept, decline, or customize ad-related data collection, provided through Google's consent management platform.
You can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage your ad personalization settings at adssettings.google.com.
We also use Google Analytics to understand overall visitor traffic (e.g. how many people visit, which pages are popular). Like the AdSense cookies above, Analytics cookies are gated behind the same consent prompt for EEA, UK, and Switzerland visitors, and are set to their most privacy-restrictive default until you make a choice. Analytics data is aggregated and isn't used to identify you individually.
CausewayRadar's live data comes from several external sources. Loading our pages causes your browser to make requests to some of these directly:
Server-side requests (LTA, data.gov.sg, MBJB, Frankfurter) don't transmit any information about you individually -- our server fetches the same public data regardless of who's visiting. Client-side requests (Google Maps, Google Routes, Google AdSense) are made directly by your browser and are subject to Google's own privacy practices linked above.
Contains information from LTA DataMall and data.gov.sg, accessed live, made available under the terms of the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0. This site fetches all LTA/data.gov.sg data server-side with response caching (25 seconds to 10 minutes depending on the dataset) so that traffic from all visitors stays well within the published API rate limits.
CausewayRadar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll address it.
Since we don't collect personal information directly, we don't hold a personal data store to retain or delete. Standard hosting logs are retained by our hosting provider (Netlify) per their own operational policies.
We may update this page as the site's features or third-party services change. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
